DAY 1 DARWIN - LITCHFIELD NATIONAL PARK (LD)
Departing Darwin we will make our way to Litchfield National Park where we will spend the afternoon relaxing by the waterhole and waterfalls that have made this area famous.
DAY 2 PINE CREEK - KATHERINE GORGE (BLD)
On our way to Katherine Gorge our camp for the night we will take time to stop at the Adelaide River War Memorial and Pine Creek. The more energetic may like to take a short hike to the escapement that shadows over the gorge.
DAY 3 ELSEY NATIONAL PARK (BLD)
Today we travel into the land of the Never Never and our camp for the night in Elsey National Park. Be sure to have both your swimmers and camera handy. This place is truly one of the great jewels of the Territory.
DAY 4 ROPER BAR (BLD)
Today we will leave the sealed road behind and hit the dirt as we head for Roper Bar.
DAY 5 LIMMEN NATIONAL PARK - BUTTERFLY CREEK (BLD)
Today we will travel through Limmen National Park on our way to our bush camp at Butterfly Springs.
DAY 6 THE "LOST CITY" - THE "HEARTBREAK HOTEL" (BLD)
A relaxed start to the day gives us plenty of time to discovery the Lost City before making our way to one of the Territories iconic hotels The Heartbreak Hotel at Cape Crawford.
DAY 7 BORROLOOLA - THE SAVANNAH WAY - ROBINSON RIVER (BLD)
Passing Borroloola we continue along the Savannah Way, making our way out to King Ash Bay to view the Sir Edward group of Island on our way to our camp at Robinson River.
DAY 8 QUEENSLAND BORDER - HELLS GATE (BLD)
Today will see us cross into Queensland on our way to Hells Gate, as we travel through vast expanses of cattle country.
DAY 9 DOOMADGEE - LAWN HILL NATIONAL PARK - ADELS GROVE (BLD)
Passing through Doomadgee on our way to the Lawn Hill National Park and onto Adel's Grove our base for the next two nights.
DAY 10 LAWN HILL NATIONAL PARK - RIVERSLEIGH FOSSIL FIELDS (BLD)
Today we will visit the World Heritage fossil fields at Riversleigh before spending the afternoon relaxing by the Gorge.
DAY 11 KARUMBA (BL)
Leaving Lawn Hill behind we head for the coastal township of Karumba where we will take a sunset cruise before heading to one of the local hotels for dinner. You can be sure to find both Prawns and Barra on the menu.
DAY 12 GEORGETOWN (BLD)
Today we travel onto Georgetown a once booming mining town which is filled with history. Along the way we will take in the sights of this vast area.
DAY 13 MOUNT SURPRISE - UNDARA LAVA TUBES (BLD)
Heading towards the Undara National Park and the Lava tubes, (the longest in the world) will have us stopping at Mount Surprise. Then onto Undara for the night, where the swimming pool is sure to be a welcome sight.
DAY 14 HERBERTON - ATHERTON TABLELANDS (BLD)
This morning we will do a tour of the area including 3 selections of the Lava tube system (this will involve moderate fitness level) before heading onto Herberton on the Atherton tablelands for our last night out.
DAY 15 CAIRNS (BL)
A relaxed start will have us taking in the sights before arriving in Cairns mid afternoon.
